The Chairperson opened the hearing on SB330. Representative Dodson explained the necessity behind the action to be taken in the Committee. Representative Proctor motioned to suspend the rules to allow the passing of SB330 out of committee. Representative Dodson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Representative Proctor motioned to pass SB330 out of committee. Representative Dodson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Representative Dodson disclosed that he was working with military personnel at Fort Riley to arrange a tour of the Fort for all committee members. The tour would include Historic Fort Riley and the uncrewed aerial vehicle hanger virtual training site. Furthermore, Representative Dodson acknowledged he had received communication from Bill Turner, Acting Director, Kansas Commission on Veterans Affairs Office, that outlined the Veterans Administration plans to demolish, modernize or build new, certain VA facilities, that he would forward to committee members.
