Requiring an offender who raises error in such offender's criminal history calculation for the first time on appeal to show prejudicial error, requiring the journal entry used to establish criminal history to be attached to the criminal history worksheet and authorizing the court to correct an illegal sentence while a direct appeal is pending.

Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of the bill and stood for questions.
Senator Warren proposed a Judicial Branch amendment. The revisor discussed the changes in the proposed amendment and responded to questions. (Attachment 12)
Discussion ensued.
Senator Warren moved to adopt the amendment. Senator Thompson seconded. The motion carried.
Senator Baumgardner moved, Senator Gossage seconded, to recommend HB2516, as amended, favorably for passage.
