Chairperson Billinger called for final action on SB 340.
Senator Alley distributed a balloon amendment and discussed the proposed changes. (Attachment 6)
Senator Alley moved, Senator Fagg seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment. Discussion ensued.
Senator Claeys made a substitute motion, Senator Fagg seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment but to add a sunset at the conclusion of 2027. Motion carried. Senator Pettey is recorded as voting no.
Senator Alley moved, Senator Fagg seconded, to recommend SB 340, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried. Senator Pettey is recorded as voting no.
Chairperson Billinger adjourned the meeting at 12:18 pm. The next meeting will be March 16, 2022.
