Adam Siebers provided an overview for HB2394 that increases the income tax credit percentage from 6.5 percent to 10.0 percent for amounts expended in the current research and development activities tax credit provided in K.S.A. 79-32, 182b.
Representative Mason moved, seconded by Representative Gartner, the Committee recommend HB2394 favorable for passage.
Representative Smith moved, seconded by Representative Eplee, to amend HB2394. (Attachment 13)
Committee discussion ensued.
Motion passed.
Representative Mason renewed his motion to recommend HB2394 be passed as amended. Motion passed.
Chairperson Smith adjourned the meeting at 4:35 pm.
