Chairperson Owens called for discussion and final action on HB2657. Natalie Scott reviewed the bill.
Representative Highberger proposed an amendment. He said it was a simple bill that would strike out 21-5706 in subsection u on page 11. (Attachment 9)
Representative Highberger moved, Representative Osman seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion failed. Division was requested. The vote was 4 "aye" votes and 7 "nay" votes.
Representative Owens proposed a technical amendment and discussed the amendment. (Attachment 10)
Representative Owens moved, Representative Smith seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion carried.
Representative Smith moved, Representative Howerton seconded, to recommend HB2657, as amended, favorably for passage. The motion carried.
