Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on HB2075.
Jason Thompson, Senior Assistant Revisor, provided an overview of HB2075 and stood for questions. (Attachment 1)
Representative Susan Humphries provided testimony in support of HB2075 stating the venue section of the current adoption statute did not adequately address the Department of Children and Families state agency adoptions out of the foster care system. HB2075 would allow adoption filings in the same location as an agency office instead of the current restrictions. (Attachment 2)
Representative Humphries stood for questions from the Committee members.
Chairperson Warren closed the hearing on HB2075.
