Chairperson Barker asked the Committee to open their folders on HB2025. He stated that he had asked the Speaker to refer this bill back to the Committee for an amendment.
Vice-Chairperson Arnberger moved to recommend HB2025 favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Penn.
Chairperson Barker moved to amend HB2025, seconded by Vice-Chairperson Arnberger.
Revisor Sterling explained the amendment (Attachment 2). The amendment strikes all of section 2 so that the bill would only apply to employees of the Department of Wildlife, Parks & Tourism.
Discussion ensued.
Chairperson Barker closed on the amendment. Motion passed.
Vice-Chairperson Arnberger moved to recommend HB2025, as amended, favorably for passage, seconded by Representative Ruiz. Motion passed.
Representative Highberger's no vote is recorded.
