Chairman Olson resumed the hearing on SB176 continued from yesterday's meeting.
Chairman Olson called upon Byron to continue his opponent testimony that was interrupted the day before due to time constraints. Mr. Byron theorized that independent third party expertise in home structures and systems arose to protect the public from overzealous real estate sales tactics. Mr. Byron explained that inspectors have no incentive to do anything but provide useful information to clients and he cautioned the committee against extending control over the home inspection industry.
Committee comments and questions ensued.
Seeing no additional testimony, Chairman Olson closed the hearing on SB176.
