Chairperson Patton opened the hearing on SB107. Natalie Scott provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 3) Ms. Scott stood for questions.
Proponent
Mark Knackendoffel testified in support of SB107. The Kansas Judicial Council and its Probate Law Advisory Committee recommend 2021 SB107, which contains the 2018 Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act (UFIPA). The Act was recently approved by the Uniform Law Commission. The Council is recommending that the UFIPA be adopted in Kansas with only a few minor changes. Those changes are detailed in the attached testimony. (Attachment 4)
Chairperson Patton asked if there were any additional conferees. Being none, he closed the hearing on SB107.
Chairperson Patton adjourned the meeting at 3:47 pm.
