Chairperson Barker opened the hearing on SB126.
Matt Sterling, Revisor of Statutes, provided an overview of the bill (Attachment 1).
Chairperson Barker recognized Senator Rob Olson as a proponent (Attachment 2). Questions were asked by Representatives Ruiz and Houser.
Robert Hall testified as a proponent on SB126 (Attachment 3).
Debbi Beavers, Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control, did not submit any testimony, but was available for questions on Webex. Questions were asked by Vice-Chairperson Arnberger. Ms. Beavers stated that this bill does not require a temporary permit; it only requires that ABC be given notification electronically of an event at least 48 hours in advance. Any on-premises licensee may allow a patron to bring their own bottle onto the premises.
Chairperson Barker noted that there was written proponent testimony from Joe Marvil with American Legion Post 153 (Attachment 4).
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Barker closed the hearing on SB126.
