Chairman Sutton opened the Hearing on HB2419.
Staff Revisor Jason Long, gave an overview of the bill.
Proponents speaking to the bill were:
Victoria Rajewski, Board of Barbering, she stated the the changes are minimal for the most part, many are clarifying language. (Attachment 1)
Theresa A. Patterson stated that chair lease license is one of important keys to keeping up on all barbers.(Attachment 2)
Bruce Williamson was to give oral testimony but stated he agreed with everything already stated and would not be giving any testimony.

Opponent speaking to the bill was:
Jonathan Lueth, Americans for Prosperity, Kansas Deputy State Director, he stated that they respectfully ask for you to oppose the bill and reject calls to add new, unwanted government licensing requirements in our state.(Attachment 7)
There being no further conferees, Chairman Sutton closed the hearing and adjourned the meeting at 4:20 pm.
