Chairperson Warren opened the hearing on SB283.
Jason Thompson gave a bill brief of SB283 stating it changes the business liability provision in the COVID-19 Response and Reopening for Business Act. He explained that section 1 removes the March 31, 2021 sunset provision and allows the statute to remain in effect. The bill makes the provisions apply retroactively to any cause of action accruing on or after March 12, 2020 and prior to termination of the state of disaster emergency. (Attachment 1)
