Staff briefed the Committee on the bill contents. (Attachment 1) There were no questions.
Chairman Proehl recognized Don McNeely as the first proponent. (Attachment 2) According to Mr. McNeely, this bill proposes an amendment to the dealer licensing statute that will establish a display show license which will allow the display and licensing demonstration of new vehicles by licensed Kansas new vehicle dealers and manufacturers during an auto show.
The Chairman drew the Committee's attention to written testimony submitted in support of SB33 by Larry Carl, CEO of the Automobile Dealers Ass'n. of Greater Kansas City. (Attachment 3)
(Late) Written testimony was received in opposition to SB33 by Quinton D. Lucas, Mayor, Kansas City, Mo. (Attachment 4)
