Senator Alicia Straub testified as a proponent to SB 153 on the basis of achieving better representation of county commissioners to the county they serve. Senator Straub answered questions from the committee. (Attachment 1)
Jay Hall, Kansas Association of Counties, testified as a neutral conferee to the bill. Mr. Hall raised concerns of expertise loss but supported the option for counties to adopt their own term limits. Mr. Hall answered questions from the committee. (Attachment 2)
