Chairperson Patton opened the hearing on HB2369. Natalie Scott reviewed HB2369. (Attachment 11) Ms Scott addressed questions from the membership.
Chairperson Patton asked for any conferees. There were none. He also explained this bill had been moved along last year. It was a bill that Senator Halley started in the 2019 session and it passed on the Senate side but didn't go through the house. It did end up in a conference committee report and became law. Senator Willborn and Representative Patton were both the co-chairs of this bill and were very close to having a recommendation last fall. The committee did not come together. This is now giving us another opportunity to look at the bill. Representative Patton and Representative Carmichael.both explained that this year there is enough resources being applied that they are wishing to see it pass during bill action.

Chairperson Patton reviewed the bills he planned on having final action during the remainder of the week. HB2093, 2229, 2369, 2078, 2154, 2227, 2228.
Representative Ralph reminded the membership that there are two bills coming from this committee that are above the line for tomorrows House Session. If you are carrying those bills, please be prepared to discuss or see him if you need assistance.
