Chairperson Patton opened the hearing on HB2390. Natalie Scott provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 8) Supporting documentation. (Attachment 9) (Attachment 10) Ms. Scott stood for questions.
Proponent
Amanda Stanley (Attachment 11) stated that HB2390 continue necessary exemption from the Kansas Open Records Act. She respectfully asks the Committee to forward HB2390 to the full house for its consideration.
Joseph House (Attachment 12) stated the Emergency Medical Services Board appreciates the protections instituted by the Kansas Legislature in ensuring that patient records the board receives through an investigative subpoena remain confidential and unable to be disclosed. HB2390 certifies that protection from disclosure and allows us to continue to maintain those records as confidential. He urged the Committee's support of HB2390 and its favorable passage.
Chairperson Patton asked if there were any additional testimony. Being none, he closed the hearing on HB2390.
