The Chairperson opened the hearing on SB29 and asked David Wiese, Assistant Revisor, Office of the Revisor of Statutes, to provide an overview of the bill. (Attachment 10)
Chairman Johnson explained that this was the Senate's version of HB2072 that the Committee has already passed. The only thing they changed is that SB29 becomes effective upon publication in the Kansas Register, while HB2072 would become effective upon publication in the Statute Book.
the Chairperson asked if there were any conferees, and seeing none, Chairperson Johnson closed the hearing on SB29.
