Chair Jennings called for discussion and final action on HB2121. Natalie Scott, Assistant Revisor, reviewed the bill.
Representative Smith offered a proposed balloon amendment to the bill by changing the current word "intentionally" to "knowingly" on page 1, lines 8 and 9 and page 6, line 15. (Attachment 1)
Representative Smith discussed the recommended changes and responded to questions.
Representative Smith moved, Representative Owens seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment provided by Representative Smith. The motion carried.
Representatives Carmichael and Owens requested their 'Aye' vote be recorded. Representative Highberger requested his 'Nay' vote be recorded.
Representative Highberger moved, Representative Smith seconded, to recommend HB2121 pass favorably as amended. The motion carried.
Representative Carmichael, Highberger, and Owens requested their 'Aye' vote be recorded.
The next meeting is scheduled for February 8.
