Chairperson Jennings called for discussion and final action on HB2083. The revisor reviewed the bill.
Representative Jennings proposed amending the bill and discussed the proposed change inserting the words "January 9, 2023, and" on page 2 line 22, between "after" and "its publication". (Attachment 2) The revisor discussed the recommended changes and responded to questions.
Representative Jennings moved, Representative Owens seconded, to adopt the amendment. The motion carried.
Representatives Carmichael, Highberger, and Owens requested their 'Aye' vote be recorded. Representative Kuether participated virtually off site; therefore, Representative Kuether did not vote.
Representative Patton moved, Representative Day seconded, to recommend HB2083 pass favorably as amended. The motion carried.
