The chair opened the hearing on HB2122.

Chris Waggoner, Assistant Revisor, provided the committee with a briefing of HB2122.(Attachment 1)

Deann Williams, vehicles coordinator, presented testimony to the committee in support of HB2122 which would allow for adjustments in quarterly registration fees to truck and truck tractor owners.(Attachment 2)

Donald Lee, compliance staff for commercial and apportions vehicles, Kansas Department of Revenue, responded to questions.

Travis Grauerholz of the Kansas Motor Carriers Association gave neutral testimony recommending a revision to the penalty provision that would help to ensure a more equitable approach to penalty costs.(Attachment 3)

There were no opponent testimonies.
