Kansas Legislative Information System and Services (KLISS) Notifications:

The KLISS web application uses RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds to provide automated updates to legislative information. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for sharing and distributing web content. Using an RSS reader, you can view updates to Kansas Legislative information such as bills, committees, calendars, and journals.

RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or "aggregator", which can be web-based, desktop-based, or mobile device-based. The user subscribes to a feed by clicking a feed icon in a web browser to initiate the subscription process or by entering the RSS feed URL into the reader. The RSS reader checks the user's subscribed feeds regularly for new information, downloads any updates that it finds, and provides a user interface to monitor and read the feeds. Some web browsers and email clients have RSS readers built in and can be used to subscribe to KLISS notifications.

Updates to information displayed on a web page on the Kansas Legislature web site can be subscribed to by clicking the active RSS feed icon: RSS_Feed. If the icon is gray: RSS_Feed, it means there is no notification feed for the page and no updates are available for the information displayed on the page.

KLISS Chamber Actions Notifications:

It is possible to subscribe to notifications of actions in the House and Senate Chambers. Chamber actions for example are Bill or Resolution Introductions, Committee Reports adopted, Chamber Committee of the Whole passage, Conference Committee actions, etc. Below are links to the Chamber Action Notification subscriptions.
