Without objection Chairperson Tyson sought discussion and possible action on SB459.
Senator Lynn made a motion to amend SB459 by making January 1, 2019 the finish date of the commission's report. Senator Lynn withdrew her motion.
Senator Alley made a motion to amend SB459 by making January1, 2019 the start date of the commission and January 1, 2020 as the date for the commission's recommendations. Senator Alley withdrew his motion.
Senator Francisco made a motion to amend SB459 to only include property taxation, to have 17 voting members, to require the commission's recommendations by January 15, 2020, and to require the final report by January 15, 2021. Senator Lynn seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Senator Alley made a motion to amend SB459 by requiring progress reports from the commission. Senator Alley withdrew his motion.
