Chairperson Bowers continued final action on HB2642. Chuck Reimer, revisor staff, reviewed the bill. Mr. Reimer and Mark Skoglund, Executive Director, Kansas Governmental Ethics Commission, addressed questions from the Committee. Chairperson Bowers asked Mr. Skoglund to explain the proposed balloon amendment to HB2642. (Attachment 1)
Senator Sykes moved, Senator Hardy seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Sykes moved, Senator Faust-Goudeau seconded, to recommend HB2642 as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
