Mr. Wells provided an overview on HB2559 which concerns property tax exemption for up to two motor vehicles for certain members of the military national guard or US Reserve forces. As the bill is currently written, members of the guard or reserve are required to be full time active and this would would change to require those particular members be current members in good standing of the Kansas army or air national guard or a Kansas unit of the reserve forces of the United States. Mr. Wells stood for questions from the Committee.
