Chairman Estes opened the hearing for HB2441, which he noted was a companion bill for a Senate bill.
Proponents
Justin Stowe, Legislative Post Audit, spoke as a proponent to HB2441. This bill would amend the state law to reassign responsibility for procuring independent financial audits from the Legislative Division of Post Audit to the audited agencies. (Attachment 1)
Matt Sterling, Revisor of Statutes, presented a technical cleanup to HB2441 that would take out language that was inadvertently inserted when the house amended the bill. (Attachment 2)
