Chairperson Kelly opened the hearing on SB335.
Kathy Taylor testified in support of SB335 (Attachment 5) saying that the bill would provide a charter choice for savings and loans, encourage the safe investment in municipal bonds and provide clarity when doing business with various types of entities. She said that SB335 would apply the Kansas banking code to state savings and loans. Ms. Taylor addressed questions from Committee members.
Brock Roehler testified in support of SB335 (Attachment 6) saying that the OSBC agreed with Ms. Taylor's testimony. Mr. Roehler addressed questions from Committee members.
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Kelly closed the hearing on SB335.
The meeting adjourned at 10:25 AM.
