David Wiese, staff revisor, reviewed the bill and addressed questions from Committee members.
Chairperson Kelly opened the hearing on SB292.
Stephanie Mulholland testified in support of SB292 (Attachment 3) saying that the bill would modernize current law and provide adaptability for local credit unions. Ms. Mulholland addressed questions from Committee members.
Jerel Wright, who was present in the gallery, also spoke in favor of SB292 saying that the KDCU agreed with Ms. Mulholland's testimony. Mr. Wright addressed questions from Committee members.
Mandy Roe, Director of Member Services for the Kansas Cooperative Council, provided written testimony in support of SB292. (Attachment 4)
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Kelly closed the hearing on SB292.
