David Wiese, staff revisor, reviewed the bill and addressed questions from Committee members.
Chairperson Kelly opened the hearing on SB284.
Brock Roehler testified in support of SB284 (Attachment 2) saying that adoption of the bill would enable the Bank Commissioner to align agency staff and responsibilities for efficient administration of the Money Transmitter Act. He also said SB284 would permit the Bank Commissioner to enter into informal agreements to resolve violations or other matters under the KMTA. Mr. Roehler addressed questions from Committee members.
Jim Payne, who was present in the gallery, also addressed questions from Committee members.
There being no further conferees, Chairperson Kelly closed the hearing on SB284.
