Chairperson Kerschen called for final action on SB320.
Tamera Lawrence of the Revisor of Statutes Office explained the bill.
Senator Francisco told the committee that a similar House bill put the county number of residents at 40,000 instead of 35,000 as was in the Senate bill. Senator Francisco then passed out a balloon amendment which she explained. After some discussion, Senator Francisco moved and Senator Rogers seconded the amendment. (Attachment 1) There was further discussion and Senator Francisco withdrew her amendment and Senator Rogers concurred.
Senator Taylor moved and Senator Berger seconded to recommend the bill favorably for passage.Motion carried.
