Mr. Heim provided a brief description of HB2539.
Representative Esau, Chair, asked for the will of the Committee on the bill.
Representative Vic Miller, Ranking Minority Member, moved that HB2539 be moved from the Committee to the House without recommendation, and the motion was seconded by Representative Francis Awerkamp.
There was discussion on the bill by the Committee.
Mr. Heim provided copies of Representative Kristey Williams' proposed amendments to HB2539 (Attachment 4).
Representative Awerkamp moved Representative Williams' amendments to HB2539 be approved by the Committee, and the motion was seconded by Representative Rahjes.
There was discussion by the Committee on Representative Williams' amendments.
Representative Awerkamp closed on the amendment and a vote was taken. Representative Esau, Chair, called for a roll call vote. The votes were recorded as follows:

The vote was 10 nay, 3 aye; thus Representative Williams' amendments did not pass. HB2539 passed out to the House unanimously without amendments.
