Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on SB303.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee a description of SB303. He stood for several questions.
Eric Stafford presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB303 by explaining how the bill "restores the ability for small businesses to expense capital investments, rather than using a scheduled depreciation over time following the investment". (Attachment 9) He stood for questions.
Dan Murray presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB303 by describing "the bill as a technical fix to an oversight" in order "to restore . . . [an] important provision to the tax code". (Attachment 10) He stood for questions.
Written only testimony presented to the Committee in support of SB303 was provided by Jason Watkins, Wichita Chamber (Attachment 11), and Tom Palace, Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association of Kansas (Attachment 12).
