Chairman Wilborn opened the hearing on SB288 - Repealing the prohibition on Saturday process service. Jenna Moyer provided an overview of the bill. (Attachment 1)
Greg Smith spoke in favor of SB288 offering historical background and explaining the benefits of the change made by the bill. (Attachment 2) Mr. Smith answered questions from the committee.
The Chairman noted written testimony in favor of SB288 submitted by:
Ed Klumpp for the Kansas Sheriffs Association, Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police, and Kansas Peace Officers Association. (Attachment 3)
