Chairperson McGinn opened the hearing on SB 240. Jill Wolters provided an overview of the bill and responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 3)
Secretary Robin Jennison spoke in support of the bill. This purchase would provide for the conservation of natural resources and additional opportunities for sportsmen. This is a state and local partnership that would benefit many throughout the region. Secretary Jennison responded to questions from Committee members. (Attachment 4)
Chad Depperschmidt, Legislative Liaison for Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism responded to questions from Committee members.
John Leo Hayden provided oral testimony in support of the bill.

Senator Schmidt moved, Senator Hawk seconded, to insert the contents of HB 2130 and HB 2002 into HB 2129. Motion carried.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 9:56. The next meeting will be April 5, 2017.
