In response to questions from Committee members, Jenna Moyer discussed the possibility of splitting out the sections of the bill relating to KITE, which are Sections 9-37. The cybersecurity portion of the bill are contained in Sections 1-8. Sections 1-8 without the House amendments would essentially be the same as SB 204.
Phil Wittmer stated he would not be opposed to working with just the cybersecurity portion of the bill as it is by far the most important aspect.
Chairperson McGinn asked Jenna Moyer to provide Committee members with information on the amendments added to the cybersecurity portion of the bill by the House in order to be able to make an informed decision regarding SB 204 versus HB 2331.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 9:53.
