Chairperson McGinn called for final action on SB 186.
Senator Schmidt distributed a balloon amendment and discussed the proposed changes that have been agreed upon by the Kansas State Association of Fire Chiefs, the Kansas State Council of Firefighters, the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services, the Kansas Emergency Medical Technician Association, the Mid America Regional Council Emergency Rescue Committee and the Kansas Legislative Policy Group. (Attachment 1)
Senator Schmidt moved, Senator Kelly seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Schmidt moved, Senator Billinger seconded, to recommend SB 186, as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 9:59.
