Chairperson Bowers opened final action on HB2256. Mike Heim, staff revisor, reviewed the bill.
Senator Pilcher-Cook distributed and explained an amendment. (Attachment 3)
Senator Pilcher-Cook moved, Senator Haley seconded, to adopt the balloon amendment.
Discussion ensued. Senator Pilcher-Cook, with permission from the second, withdrew her motion.
Questions from the Committee were addressed by staff and Bryan Caskey.
Senator Haley suggested an amendment to change "250 feet" on Line 16 back to the original "100 feet." Senator Haley moved, Senator Hardy seconded, to adopt the proposed amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Fitzgerald moved, Senator Doll seconded, to recommend HB2256 as amended, favorably for passage. Motion carried.
