Chairman Waymaster opened discussion on the bill.
Jill Wolters, Office of the Revisor of Statutes, presented the bill brief. The bill establishes an alcoholic beverage control modernization fee. A copy of the fiscal note was distributed to committee members (Attachment 2).
Discussion followed by committee members regarding the germaneness of the bill. Jill Wolters reviewed the single subject rule. Concerns were expressed regarding re-appropriation of funds from one source to another.
Representative Claeys made a motion for an amendment that would add a sunset provision date of June 30, 2022. Representative Davis seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Representative Wolfe Moore made a motion for favorable passage of HB 2362 as amended. Representative Ballard seconded the motion. Motion passed.
