Vice Chair Kerschen opened a hearing on SB203.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee an explanation of SB203. He stood for questions.
Senator Alley presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB203 by allowing "Cowley County . . . to recruit new qualified employees, add to their workforce . . . to reverse their population decline". (Attachment 1) He stood for questions.
Matt Lindsey presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB203 by expressing how the "program [is] . . . a useful tool to recruit talented faculty and in our efforts to keep more of our graduates working in Kansas, especially in rural counties". (Attachment 2) He stood for questions.
