The Chairperson opened the hearing on HB2118. Elaine Ma provided an overview of the bill.
Charles Wheelen testified in support of the bill. He stated that his organization had requested this bill to accomplish numerous objectives, as outlined in his written testimony. (Attachment 6)
Katrina McGivern presented supportive testimony and told the committee that with the ability to purchase additional insurance, HB2118 would allow primary care safety net clinics the ability to expand their services into the community, strengthen the health care system, and provide more Kansans access to care. (Attachment 7)
Chairperson Longbine pointed the committee's attention to the proponent written-only testimony as follows:

There being no questions or discussion, and no other conferees or written-only testimony submitted, Chairperson Longbine closed the hearing on HB2118.
