Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on SB213.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee a brief description of SB213. He stood for questions.
No testimony in support of SB213 was presented to the Committee.
Dave Trabert presented testimony to the Committee neutral to SB213 by saying "we appreciate this effort to at least partially rectify the unfair tax treatment afforded to these government retirees but we're neutral on this legislation because it would still provide preferential tax treatment to the government sector". (Attachment 1) He stood for questions.
Blake Flanders presented testimony to the Committee in opposition to SB213 because "this legislation would single out the Regents Retirement Plan from others that have the same state income tax benefit". (Attachment 2) He stood for numerous questions.
After all questions from the Committee were answered, Chairperson Tyson closed the hearing on SB213.
