Chairperson Baumgardner started by discussing possible action on HB2212.
Tamera Lawrence, Office of Revisor of Statutes, gave a brief explanation of the bill. Chairperson Baumgardner asked if there were any further questions, and none were presented.
Ms. Lawrence presented the Committee with a balloon amendment. The Kansas Board of Regents is considering a pilot program that addresses funding, so the balloon amendment extends the date for another year. (Attachment 2)
Senator Taylor asked if a reallocation of funds was addressed in this bill. Chairperson Baumgardner stated it was not, but could be in the budget bill.
Senator Doll moved to accept the amendment, and Senator Bollier seconded the motion. All in favor raised their hands, and the amendment passed by majority.
