Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on SB140.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee and explanation of SB140. He stood for questions.
Senator Oletha Faust-Gideau presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB140 by describing how financial support to offer educational information to seniors and the dui impact center is necessary. (Attachment 29) She stood for questions.
Andrie Krahl presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB140 by elaborating on how "your return of sales tax dollars is a modest investment in our agency that . . . [provides] service to DUI victims and increased public safety". (Attachment 30) She stood for questions.
Fran Kentling presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB140 by saying "this will help stabilize our future so we can continue each month to mail a newspaper filled with information aimed directly to our 55+ readers interests and informational needs". (Attachment 31) She stood for questions.
Carl Williams presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB140 by urging the Committee "to grant this highly respected greatly valued source of information for seniors a tax exemption that will help it survive". (Attachment 32) He stood for questions.
