Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on SB192.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee an explanation of SB192. He stood for questions.
Mark Tallman presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB192 indicating "this bill would help restore balance to the state tax system, both in terms of taxpayer fairness and across the three major revenue sources of income, sales and property". (Attachment 1) He stood for questions.
Written only testimony presented to the Committee neutral to SB192 was provided by Heidi Holliday, Kansas Center for Economic Growth (Attachment 2); and Scott Anglemyer, Kansas Association of Community Action (Attachment 3).
Dave Trabert presented testimony to the Committee in opposition to SB192 by saying "budgets . . . can be balanced without a tax increase" and by providing solutions. (Attachment 4) He stood for questions.
