The Chair opened the hearing on SB 126 and asked staff to provide an overview of the contents. Kyle Hamilton Revisor, said the bill expands the areas of background checks on anyone living, volunteering or working at a child care facility. He noted the additional language regarding persons convicted of arson, and/or anyone listed in a child abuse and neglect registry or a sex offender registry (Attachment 3).
