Chairperson Kerschen opened the hearing on HB2066.
Tamera Lawrence of the Revisor's Office explained the bill.
Doug Mays testified in support of the bill. He says that current Kansas law mandates that, under certain circumstances, the state is required to reimburse rural water districts for the cost of relocating water lines displaced due to state highway and road construction. This bill adds public wholesale water districts to this policy. (Attachment 4)
