Chairperson McGinn called for final action on Substitute for HB 2052.
Senator Denning distributed a proposed balloon amendment and discussed the recommended changes. This amendment includes restoration of KPERS State reductions. (Attachment 1)
Senator Denning moved, Senator Kelly seconded, adoption of the proposed balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Denning distributed a second proposed balloon amendment and discussed the recommended changes. (Attachment 2)
In response to questions regarding the second amendment, Senator Denning distributed a third proposed balloon amendment that he felt would address the questions. (Attachment 3)
Senator Denning moved, Senator Doll seconded, adoption of the third amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Denning distributed a fourth balloon amendment and discussed the proposed changes. (Attachment 4)
Senator Denning moved, Senator Kelly seconded, adoption of the fourth proposed balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Denning moved, Senator Doll seconded, adoption of the second balloon amendment. Motion carried.
Chairperson McGinn announced that the Committee will vote on the bill tomorrow after the members have an opportunity to review the new profile based on these amendments.
Chairperson McGinn adjourned the meeting at 11:04. The next meeting will be on March 14, 2017.
