Chairperson Tyson opened a hearing on SB198.
Adam Siebers presented to the Committee an explanation of SB198. He stood for questions.
Chase Blasi presented testimony to the Committee in support of SB198 by explaining that the Department "will stay in compliance with Publication 1075 and will not lose access to federal tax information". (Attachment 1) He stood for questions.
Tom Whitaker presented testimony to the Committee neutral to SB198 by indicating KDOR had agreed to "more narrowly define who would be required to comply". (Attachment 2) He stood for questions.
No testimony in opposition to SB198 was presented to the Committee.
After several questions from the Committee were answered, Chairperson Tyson closed the hearing on SB198.
