Scott Wells, Assistant Revisor provided an overview on HB2228 noting the bill adds to the list of properties that are exempt from property tax under the laws of the State of Kansas are not required to obtain an order from the Board of Tax Appeals. The bill would add RV vehicles and property acquired by land banks exempt from property taxes.
Kathleen Smith, Department of Revenue stated HB2228 does not have a fiscal impact.
