Chairperson Campbell opened the hearing on HB 2345 and recognized Jason Long, Senior Assistant Revisor, who gave an overview of the bill. Questions were asked by Representatives Rooker and Schwab.
Representative Aurand, 106th District, Kansas House of Representatives, introduced HB 2345.(Attachment 1) Questions were asked by Representatives, Schwab, Lusk, Landwehr, Rooker, Hoffman and Jones.
There were no other proponents or written-only proponents.
Opponent testimony was given by Mark Tallman, Kansas Association of School Boards,(Attachment 2) and questions were asked by Chairperson Campbell, Representatives Rooker and Schwab.
Another opponent giving testimony was John Donley, Kansas Farm Bureau.(Attachment 3) There were no questions.
Jim Freeman, retired school business official, testified as an opponent to HB 2345.(Attachment 4) The Committee had no questions for this conferee.
