Jason Thompson reviewed the bill, and distributed an amendment proposed by the Attorney General's Office. (Attachment 9)
Senator Pilcher-Cook moved, Senator Petersen seconded, to amend SB 10 by adopting the proposed amendment. Motion carried.
Senator Pilcher-Cook distributed an amendment to include any individual rather than only a public official. (Attachment 10)
Senator Pilcher-Cook moved, Senator Haley seconded to amend SB 10. Motion carried.
In discussion, conceptual changes were addressed to make the language consistent throughout the now amended bill.
Senator Pilcher-Cook moved to pass SB10 as amended and to allow the Revisor's Office to revise the language to make the amended language consistent, seconded by Senator Bowers. Motion carried.
Chairman Wilborn adjourned the meeting at 11:25am.
